"Cadence calls (also known as jodies) are songs (usually delivered in an eight count movement) that the military sings when marching or running. The songs require a Caller, who normally sets the pace and leads the formation. The caller starts each line on his left foot. The formation then repeats the line, starting on the left foot. If everything goes well, the caller and the formation develop a sort of rapport. The effect can be mesmerizing. The way a unit sounds while running or marching tends to reflect on that unit's morale and leadership."

-Drill Sgt. Timothy P. Dunnigan, US Army

Here is a list of jodies that have either been made by previous unit CA-942 cadets or have been passed down thoughout ages of military cadence and patriotism. Enjoy.

F-15 Roaring Down the Strip

F-15 roaring down the strip

Air Force jockey on a one way trip

Mission: Top Secret; Destination: Unkown

Don't even know if he's ever coming home

Scorching the ground at the speed of sound

Droppin' that napalm all around

Rippin' through the sky at Mach 2.2

Afterburner, I'm counting on you

If that bogie screws with me

He's gonna rejoin his infantry

America counts upon our crew

Friendly skies are the Air Force blue

Hey, Army

Hey, Army
Can you hear me?

Pick up your tanks and follow me
We are the best that you will see

Hey, Navy
Can you hear me?
Pick up your ships and follow me
We are the best that you will see

Hey, Marine Corps
Can you hear me?
Pick up your guns and follow me
We are the best that you will see

Hey, Air Force
Can you hear me?
Pick up your jets and follow me
We are the best in J Rotsy

Mama, Mama

Mama, Mama can't you see
What the Air Force done to me
Mama, Mama can't you see
What the Air Force done to me
Whoa, Whoa

Used to drive a Chevrolet
Now I'm marchin' everyday (Repeat)
Whoa, Whoa

Used to eat at Burger King
Now I drink from my canteen (Repeat)
Whoa, Whoa

Used to eat at Dairy Queen
Now I tote my M-16 (Repeat)
Whoa, Whoa

Used to drive a Subaru
Now I'm wearin' Air Force blue (Repeat)
Whoa, Whoa

Standin' tall and lookin' good
We should be in Hollywood

The Air Force Colors

The Air Force Colors
The color is red
To show the world
The blood we shed

The Air Force Colors
The color is white
To show the world
That we can fight

The Air Force Colors
The color is blue
To show the world
That we are true

The Air Force Colors
Red, White, and Blue
To show the world
That we'd die for you

Everywhere We Go

Everywhere we go
People want to know
Who we are
So we tell them
We're not the Navy
The deck swabbin navy
We're not the Army
The ground pounding Army
We're not the Marine Corps
The jar-head Marine Corps
We are the Air Force
The high Flying Air Force

Recruiter

Recruiter, 'cruiter came to me
Asked me what I want to be

Be mean, lean and tall
Be an officer most of all

Signed the 'cruiters life contract
And he pat me on the back

'Cruiter smiled and said to me
Lackland Air Force Base then it will be

Sky was cold and ground was wet
When they put me on the jet

Put us on a big blue bus
Made no hassle made no fuss

Mamma, mamma can't you see
What the Air Force does for me
Cut my hair and shined me shoes
Dressed me up in these Air Force Blues

Flying

Flying high, and flying low,

Watching the infantry on the go.

Flying in and flying out,

Hear the infantry scream and shout.

Flying up and flying down,

I’ll gig the enemy shooting up the ground.

Flying forward and flying back,

I’ll help the grunts in their attack.

Tiny Bubbles

Tiny bubbles,

in my wine,

makes me feel happy,

makes me feel fine.

Tiny bubbles,

in my beer,

makes me feel happy,

and full of cheer.

Tiny bubbles,

in my keg,

makes me wonder,

why I can't feel my legs,

Tiny bubbles,

in my water,

makes me run faster,

but makes me feel hotter.
