Aeronautics Club
Aeronautics is an extracurricular activity led by a highly knowledgable cadet for any cadets interested in learning about aviation and aerodynamics, geo-mapping, and rocketry. Cadets meet in the room when the course is schedule (typically every Friday) and are expected to bring study materials. During this course, cadets learn out of a textbook provided by the Air Force and have the chance to build their own airplane models and/or rockets. Before using the flight simulator, cadets are required to take a preliminary test to make sure they're qualified to fly an aircraft. Upon completion of the course, cadets are mandated to test their knowledge by doing Flight Solo. If they pass, they earn their Wings and Rocketry Badge (two individual awards). Aeronautics presents cadets with a new subject to learn about and with many opportunities to learn which includes hands on activities and educational field trips.
